This state currently has no QUILL administrator! The effectiveness of the QUILL system, particularly at the state level, depends on commitment from a network of volunteer, state-level administrators. Duties would include researching and maintaining a statewide email contacts directory (like what is listed on this page) and serving as a moderator for posting messages to the state lists and, if appropriate, from from your constituency to the national lists. No HTML skills needed. A state-level administrator needs only to be proficient with email and web browsing.
What's in it for you?? Well, the QUILL network is subdivided by state for the purpose of autonomous state-level TBLG communications. If you live in this state, this is YOUR network. The infrastructure has been established. You just have to get on-board with QUILL to use it. The more you expand the state-level email lists, the more comprehensive and effective your state communications network will be. Your state network will also benefit from interstate and national communications, so you will be bringing more global awareness to the TBLG organizations and the press in your state.
You don't need to be transgendered to volunteer. Although QUILL was founded by transgendered people, it is a network promoting TBLG unity. Yes, that means not only that gay, lesbian, and bisexual people are welcome in this organization, but that they are heartily encouraged to join!! After all, bringing T*s and GLBs under the same sociopolitical umbrella is the primary purpose of this project. In particular, we need administrators with a keener awareness of GLB issues to post GLB-related news items and announcements to the QUILL lists.
